Today marks the day(ish, because due dates are weird) that Theo has been outside of me as long as he was growing inside of me! HOW TIME FLIES! It's still such a crazy concept that I grew him for 9 months (8 1/2-ish, but who's really counting?) INSIDE MY BODY - and that he's grown into the person who he is today by eating milk FROM MY BODY. Basically my body is super cool. But this post isn't necessarily about my body, it's about this little guy.
Lately he's trying all sorts of new foods - things like avocados (which was his first food), bananas, apples, sweet potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, strawberries, and a quick taste here and there of frozen yogurt and chocolate cake... because I'm his mother and I fully enable the sweet-tooth addiction. He doesn't seem to be a picky eater, and someday may even get more than one bite into his mouth before smearing it all over his face and hair - but I'm not holding my breath on that. He's really into pulling himself up onto every piece of furniture we have- he's been crawling for a month or so now- but he's more interested in standing and trying to walk these days. He loves listening to music, going on hikes, and putting plastic goldfish into a fake aquarium. He sleeps like a champ, wakes up with a smile every morning, and truly brings happiness into our home every day. We are so lucky to have this little kid in our lives, and are so excited to see what every new day with him brings.
Here are a few more photos of what he's been up to lately.
